Event | Coast to Coast with DJ Siavash and Adam Husa This Saturday!

Last night Siavash saved my life…

An admittedly cheesy slogan has proved to be true for many fans of this Vancouver based artist DJ Siavash. This weekend, FrontRite and Husa Sounds bring in a pioneer, who started his music career from the vinyl only 90’s and went on become one of the most influential names in the Vancouver house and techno scene. His dedication shows through with him constantly creating an experience that is otherwise lost on the West Coast, like curating and shaping the sound and experience at Gorg-O-Mish afterhours. More recently, he’s been running the most sought out parties in Vancouver, called Siavash’s HAUSPARTY.  Back alley entrances, photo bans, and great music create a vibe that is loving and raw where every patron is there to dance and let loose. Back on tour, Montreal and Newspeak is his last stop before heading to Europe! He now plays regularly at top venues and festivals around the world, including BPM, Lightning in a Bottle, Club Space, and is currently a resident at Latin America’s most legendary club, Bar Americas!

With a humbled beginning, Siavash has gotten to where he is thanks to the support of his loved ones. Both of his parents being hearing impaired did not stop them from unconditionally supporting him on his path to musical success. Siavash spends a lot of time working with them to create art and create memorable projects when he is not on tour.

His Be-At TV live recording from the bar Americas anniversary has had some of highest plays on their channel. Probably because he is such an animated performer and is so loved in Mexico, see for yourself!

One of his biggest projects to date would be the music label You Plus One, his brain child. Conceived by the idea to unite and promote our Northwest electronic music scene, YPO was originally a successful attempt to keep the house and techno alive in Vancouver. By throwing legendary events for music lovers, creating work for artists, and building connections with the greater international community, YPO has carved a name for itself. Since its creation it has now branched out to Mexico, launched a music label, and has developed into a complete media company including promotion, marketing, and media content production. YPO’s ultimate goal is to grow our local talent and ultimately help represent Canada within the global underground scene.
