Do Not Sit On The Furniture is an event that’s been on my radar for years, and I finally got to experience it here in Montreal….on Halloweeeen! The event was held at the ever so classy Soubois in downtown Montreal. We had the honour of hosting BEHROUZ the owner, and curator of Do Not Sit On The Furniture along with KMLN  and  Gab Rhome to start the musical journey. Below I’ve highlighted the artists and added some of their music to have the magic continue from an amazing Halloween.

The venue was hot, the place was packed for the most part, but luckily for the music lovers, the crowd started to disperse leaving some well needed dancing space in the front where I was (and always am). So many beautiful people looking top notch with their themed costumes dazzled throughout the night.

With the apocalyptic theme, lots of people dressed in style, radical self-expression was encouraged with the Burning Man theme shining bright… and to the group of police officers who came in at one point…I thought you guys were best dressed 🙂

KLMN (Kamelon) can be summed up by live instruments, syncopation, organic meets modern, future meets past. As interplanetary travelers and cultural explorers, the KMLN ship bends time through sound, blending elements of deep tribal house and minimal techno, moving through tempos with layers and layers of mind altering colors. Here is their set from this past burn, enjoy

Gab Rhome was took us on a journey with his melodic sounds and euphoric melodies. I hadn’t heard Gab Rhome until this night and I feel like I’ve been missing out dearly as I was so impressed!! Here is his newest mix on SoundCloud

Last but not least we have Behrouz! Very few artists need a proper introduction as their name alone speaks for itself and connotes veteran status. BEHROUZ is easily recognized both on the Playa where he has held a highly coveted residency on the Robot Heart bus, as owner / curator of Do Not Sit On The Furniture in Miami Beach, as an All Day I Dream artist and an internationally recognized household name in the electronic muisc sphere for well over two decades now.

I had such a good time!! I am especially stoked that I got to experience Do Not Sit in Montreal at Soubois – of course, next time I will have to go to Miami 😉
