Montreal comes together in our favourite dark dungeon to dance the night away with Berlin based Madota and our very own Nic Falardeau playing B2B all night long at Velvet this Friday the 13th!

I personally have been waiting for this duo to hit the Montreal scene since I saw their amazing Kater Blau set last summer in Berlin!!! Their obsession with electronic music helped them storm Vancouver’s nightlife as DJs for more than six years and start their experimentation with making music that pulls influences from their disoriented backgrounds. Each city brings a new style to their sound and it shows in their variety. With support from Just Emma (underyourskin records) and Montreal’s Kora ( Anjunadeep), I know we are in for a treat wrapped in a melodic, bassy, and groovy beats. The perfect twist to Friday the 13th vibes.

Their music captures Behnam’s knack for more colourful and organic sounds coupled with Mehran’s itch for melancholy and darker ethnic moods. They continue to nurture their lovechild in Berlin with upcoming releases on Underyourskin Records & Buddha Bar 2017 compilation.

Nic Falardeau has gained full support from the Montreal’s house and techno scene playing events for the FrontRite community and all over the city. While sticking to the roots with very organic sounds, Nic aims to blend genres with instruments and create a soulful sound that can belong only to him.

Nic Falardeau’s meticulous, disciplined and dedicated musical practice is whats rose him to the ranks he is in now, with support from Kora and remixes by Powel you can bet his sound will be unforgettable. With passion as his driving force, Nic hopes to mold music into whatever shape his creativity sets

Madota’s epic and soulful sounds mixing with Nic’s unique traditional beats bouncing off the 300 year old brick walls of Velvet’s dungeon will put us in a musical trance.

I can’t wait to have a dark and spooky dance with you all this Friday the 13th! See you on the dancefloor xox
