Movement Day two was a journey! We started our day with a much needed Brunch, hitting up a mild house music restaurant where each mimosa after the first one were 25 cents! Central was the name of the place, we enjoyed fried chicken, biscuits, ham croquette, and some other lovely dishes.

Although this was not part of the festival we met some incredible locals who have been in the scene for ages. The sass, energy, and style of our 51 year old brunch neighbour was a highlight of the trip.

The temperature was about 34 degrees, and luckily there was a pop-up VIP party we attended, where we saw Ardalan play a set while we sat in the shaded grass area. A must see show for us, was John Digweed, who played the sunset set, and it was as fantastic as expected.

After Digweed, we explored the festival and came across Modeselektor, who absolutely blew our minds with their ability to capture each sound with roaring bass and limitless energy.

After playing Moderat’s A New Error I literally could not contain the love in my heart! Check it out in the video below:

My heart was torn when I learned that Nina Kraviz and Loco Dice B2B Martinez Brothers were conflicting, but we managed to see both, and wow! I was blown away by Nina’s multiverse enchanting techno enchanting. She played everything from acid to 80’s sounds, with an incredible bass. When we ventured from the Pyramid stage we headed to the Movement stage where Loco Dice and The Martinez brothers were slaying – it was here when we decided we could not miss their afterparty that evening!

I bought tickets for Ozmosis Guy J  Lost and Found Showcase for Sunday night, and was looking forward to this event tremendously. Unfortunately, Guy J could not make it due to family issues. In my 12 years of partying, I have never come across a production where the organizers ignored several emails and Facebook messages regarding the event. No answers on replacement DJ’s, no response to refund requests, it was distasteful and disrespectful to the scene.

We skipped the event, and made our way to Leland City Club for the Seth Troxler, Loco Dice, Martinez Brothers, Stacey Pullen OFFICIAL MOVEMENT afterparty! With the entire venue acting as a steam room hotbox we decided to block everything out except the music, and that kept us going till pretty much the end.

Movement was fantastic this day! This was by far the warmest day which definitely influenced the experience! Stay tuned for my finale article wrapping up day 3!
