La Bacchanale, a collective of creative event planners who came to Montreal a few years ago have been making lots of noise with their huge warehouse raves & crazy loft parties. Last year was the first edition of their “Ancient Future Festival” in September. The festival is a Nomad Experience where you change location day through night. From beautiful outdoor venue to a grungy warehouse located in the Old Port of Montreal, the party never needs to stop. This year, the team announces quite a heavy lineup with names such as XXYYXX, Kerri Chandler, Scuba, Tokimonsta, N’to, Worakls, Joachim Pastor, Randomer, CRI, Project Pablo, Kobosil, Van Did & Debbie Doe just to name a few.

Event organizers in Montreal are making big moves these past years for the underground electronic music scene. We are starting to see more and more festivals with trails of the techno & house culture. First, AIM leaving us once again mesmerized by a crazy experience & now La Bacchanale‘s “Ancient Future” announcing their second edition! It takes a lot to book these big shows as we all know these are underground bookings that only accommodate a certain niche market… But with the continuous support from all our local peers, Montreal’s underground scene will only get bigger & bigger!
