In Montreal, we’re fortunate to have a diverse scene of artists, collectives, and labels. At a stone’s throw, you can find electronic music anywhere from lo-fi to industrial techno. These labels and collectives are organized by many dedicated teams who produce quality art, music, events, and have successfully made a name for Montreal’s on the map.

Over the last couple of months, I’ve found myself at quite a few events in the world of deep house and melodic techno. Most recently at the Space Out 4/20 show at Bain Mathieu, I was entranced by the music spun in the later hours of the night. There was something so deep, so groovy, and so driving about the deep and melodic tech that evening. Maybe Soul Button’s recent show at Stereo left some deep, deep magic in the air…I was feeling hooked on these sounds, and looking for more!

Well, more is here. NoiseFloor Records is hosting their first showcase at Salon Daomé next Thursday. Get ready for an evening of quality music brought to you by one of Montreal’s finest local labels. If you’ve been hooked on deep and melodic tech sounds recently like I have, scroll down for some more info!

For NoiseFloor’s first ever showcase, they’re treating us with two out of town guests from the south of France: JOVEM & ANMA. Comb through their discographies, and you’ll discover a variety of quality melodic house and techno tracks. I ran into ANMA’s “That Space (Original Mix)” track, and was captivated by its progressive sound and drive.

Yesterday i played my unrealease track in IBOAT that will realease on NoiseFloor Records in Montréal in April ! 🔊See u soon 😋

These two aren’t only DJs, but also fantastic producers, and just released their “Birds Mind EP” on NoiseFloor last month. You can check it out by clicking HERE. It’s truly nothing short of pristine deep house/tech; featuring elements of world music coated atop groovy, driving bass lines. It’s no surprise this EP made it number 20 on Beatport’s Top 100 Melodic House & Techno chart in April.

Lest I forget: our local DJ/Producers are sure to leave you tearing it up on the dance floor. You may have recently seen Fuentes at January’s edition of Dreamworld with Christian Voldstadt, or perhaps online through some of his recently released music. Daniel Tajna, a long time Progressive, techno, and trance producer, is sure to drop only the best of his productions on the 23rd. Nobody knows how to turn a Montreal crowd like our locals; I’m looking forward to what they have in store for us.

Big thanks to label boss Andrés Velilla, who’s bringing together DJs, producers, dancers, and music lovers together in celebration of all things house and techno. Some amazing music has come out of NoiseFloor in the last year, and to watch NoiseFloor’s curated sound unfold at Daomé next week will be quite an event. Not to mention the stellar projections and visual art produced by VJ Jhota (check out his work here). The immersive art done by him and Artonik Media at Space Out was just. incredible.

Here’s some info about the showcase next week:

Click GOING on the facebook event here, and you can receive a reduced guest list of $8 before midnight! Tickets after midnight are $12.

Come on out, support some of your finest local artists within the collective that is NoiseFloor records, and dance the night away with another A+ Montreal crowd.

I’ll see you on the dance floor next Thursday x
