Today, SXM will be launching into five days of music, festivities, and bliss.

After postponing its third edition following the destruction left behind by Hurricane Irma, SXM is back with a flawless lineup of world class house and techno artists. Given its pristine Caribbean Island location of Saint Martin, parties on boats and in the jungle, as well as a diverse lineup of over 50 international artists, it’s no wonder SXM is being lauded as one of North America’s premiere underground getaway.

…and the good news is, there’s still time to book your ticket. Realistically, Canada’s winter won’t end for another month and a half. Below, I’m laying down some reasons why it’s worth hopping on a plane, and joining some of the best party people for an unparalleled island festival experience.

Saint Martin offers seclusion in one of the Caribbean’s most scenic, paradisaical islands. As artists and music lovers from across the globe converge into one magical event, the intimacy and grounded energy of SXM unearths itself. So many different, unique, and eye-opening kinds of art and music join into one five day event…no rampaging party-goers. No Steve Aoki throwing a birthday cake into a crowd of teenagers. Just many, like-minded spirits looking to share an array of artistic experiences.

And let’s talk about this lineup of global names. Atish, Blondish, Holmar...Guy Gerber (just to name a few)…. they’ll certainly bring only the best island vibes to Saint Martin this week. Making her SXM debut is one of my personal favorites, queen of mood and party emblem Nicole Moudaber. Check out a snippet from her recent set in Tulum. Catch a plane to the Carribean this weekend and you’ll have the chance at hearing her take the party to a whole different dimension. House legend Ricardo Villalobos, Montreal favorites Traumer and Matthew Dekay…what could be better than an island with our favorite DJ’s?

It's SO BIG!!

"It's sooo BIG…!" SXM Festival lands in The Caribbean Wednesday March 13-17. With plenty of last minute flight deals available, there's still time to fly with the party pirates!

Speaking of Montreal favorites, there’ll be an array of local Montreal DJ’s featured at this year’s SXM.  Driss Skali, Head Nodders, Hicky & Kalo, Jesse Zotti, Laurance Matte, Monitors, Ostrich, and Revah Brothers will be making their way south shortly to bring their Montreal sounds to Saint-Martin. Our locals are professionals at turning the party into something. else.

On top of all this, Stereo Montreal is partnering with SXM and Dubfire’s label SCI + TEC, Apollonia, INSOMNIA records founder Marwan Sabb, and Stereo’s own Ostrich for what will surely be a trip to remember. There’s nothing like experiencing a little (((home))) away from (((home))) featuring world class techno and house artists. Check out the event page HERE.
