There is definitely no place like Stereo Montreal, especially with our beloved Hernan behind the decks!

Saturday night could not have been better.

Wildlife at Salon Daome saw headliner Alberto Jossue supported by Artphorm, In2Deep, and a wild crowd. Daome has been a favourite among the house scene for some time now! Then we entered Stereo…and wow! A perfect amount of people – full but enough room for you to flow – trembling bass, and melody flowing through dance moves.

We all know Hernan brings with him the best crowd Montreal has to offer – this time was especially wholesome.  With Dixon, Resident Advisor’s #1 DJ , headlining Easter weekend, true Hernan fans were allowed to shine through! Let’s not forget our soulful opening and closing thanks to the talent of Simply City, who brought harmony to the evening.

Hernan Cattaneo is that special breed. Across his three decade journey through music, the legendary South American DJ has lived his life through the music that inspires him; inspiring thousands of electronic music lovers across the globe in the process.” – RA

Hernan’s energy behind the decks is essentially pure humbled excellence! In the brief second had to thank him for playing for us during his set, he replied  “Thank you for being here, I hope you have a great night”. An experience like that from a huge idol just solidifies your appreciation for them! Below, some selected tracks from the set.

His selection was spot on and kept the crowd flowing with love and roars of excitement.  Never a dull moment!

A cauldron of strangers and old friends dancing as one,  all grinning ear to ear bobbing and shuffling and holding one another. Before you know it, with the crowd moving and turning through a current of sounds, you find yourself reaching each corner of the dancefloor,  smiling and dancing with whoever happens to be around you.

A wonderful night brought to you by a legend in our books, Hernan Cattaneo!

See you under the disco ball <3
